Vacuglide 2 - red light when trying to use connected features

This was working fine for months and now this morning every time I try to access it it blinks for 10-15 seconds and then turns a single solid red light. Non-connected functionality works perfectly fine.

I have tried:

  1. Turning off and on
  2. Reset by unplugging completely for 10 seconds and plugging back in.

Should I try the original setup again? How do I factory reset?

Incidentally, can we get a “troubleshooting” category for the forums?

Thanks!

Hello. I assume by turning it on, you mean you pressed and held the play button for a few seconds until the light started flashing. Instead of turning blue, it went to a single red light. That means it is not able to connect to your Wi-Fi network.Normally, that means something has changed about your Wi-Fi network, or you are using it in a location where you don’t have as good a signal to connect to your network.

We are unable to diagnose network issues, but I would suggest simply starting the connection process over again by selecting the network, entering the network password, exiting that screen, and then moving to step two which his pressing and holding the play button.

I went through the initial setup again and it looks like everything is working again. Strange because it is setting on the same desk as my laptop and both are on the same network.
Thanks!

That’s good to hear. Just in case other people see this thread, that is what our customer service team would suggest as well, had you emailed us. There can be so many different issues with Wi-Fi networks that it’s impossible for us to diagnose them remotely. Often, just restarting the connection by redoing the process will get you back on track! Enjoy!

For future reference, is this:

…the correct location for requesting support? I did actually look at the website and couldn’t figure out what the intended support path should be. The manual just stated that the red light meant “setup wasn’t completed” - which it was several months before. I posted here because I assumed another user had come across the issue before.

I’m happy you posted here - didn’t mean to suggest otherwise by mentioning support! Yes, that is the right link, thanks for posting it. These threads come up in google, which is great.

No problem at all! Thanks for the great product!
