I just ordered another Vacuglide 2 because I like it so much, but I was suprised when this “new” one developed VERY load squealing noises after about 2 weeks. It’s.. very loud, not subtle at all! I went ahead and switched back to the other one for now, no problem, but I wanna fix it.
I’m assuming I need to lubricate some of the internal metal-on-metal pivot points? Is there a video or diagram showing how to do this?
(I personally would prefer a simple webpage with some pictures over a video, but whichever works..)
We are very happy to handle issues like this through our ticketing system because this will require us to see a video and take steps from there. No one will be able to tell you any of this without a video, and the best people to do that are our dedicated customer service staff.
Please send us a ticket, and we will be able to help you. This is the wrong place to get the issue addressed.

Well, right, but I thought having the process documented somewhere might be helpful for others too. I’m happy to do that as well, but I couldn’t find much online about this kind of fairly loud squealing, which developed over time. It’s not a criticism, I’m assuming it just needs lubrication. And by that I mean.. oils. Intended for metals.
We will easily know from our customer service team if it’s defective or if some lubrication is needed. Almost always, no lubrication is needed. It’s not designed to require lubrication, so we’re very interested to hear this squealing sound, as I’m not sure what that could be.
